Political Secretariat

The Political and Finance Secretariat Department was established in 1884 for performing the functions which carried out by Daftar-i-Darul Insha and Daftar-i- Mulki. These departments were bifurcated in 1892 A.D. as a result Finance Department was established as separate unit the political functions, affairs and correspondence were transferred to Private Secretary’s Office which was redesignated Political and Finance department. Entire records of this department are in Persian, Urdu and English languages. The records of this department were transferred to Daftar-i-Diwani in 1949 (the then Central Records office of Hyderabad).
