A Sanad and Political education system was prevalent in British India was Salar Jung – I desire to establish an educational system on the modern lines in Hyderabad State. Where ever he assumed the power in 1853 he worked hard in this direction and the establishment of Dar-Ul-Uloom school in 1856 A.D. was the first step towards introduction of the modern education in the state during the period of Salar Jung – I, the then Prime Minister. Till then, Education was under the Custody of Revenue Department. But the Education Department was bifurcated from Revenue Department under the charge of the Minister for the Miscellaneous Department in 1869. Again it was given under the charge of Home Secretariat in 1892. A Board of Education was established in 1937. A separate records are Persian, Urdu and English. This Education Secretariat records were transferred to Central Records office, Hyderabad period from 1954.
